Indebted to Medium Writer Danny Oaks and profuse apologies to Medium
It's all in the detail

I owe Medium a profuse apology and fellow Medium writer Danny Oaks a debt of gratitude.
I was complaining about a lack of curation on any of my articles. Danny Oaks was kind enough to have a look and see if he could say what the problem might be.
In fact, Danny came back to me with a whole shipload of stuff I hadn’t taken care of. So the fault was all mine. Sorry you guys at Medium and thank you Danny Oaks.
I got so caught up in writing I failed to conform with Medium regs on various matters. Things like having a bio, capitalising headlines and subheads as per the rules, etc, etc, were all part of the problem. I am now going back over all fifty articles to try to put things right.
I think the problem was rooted in me being old school. I used to write tons of stuff for newspapers and magazines. Back in those days the in-house typographers used to do all the setting out. Likewise, the photography was somebody else’s job. I had a professional photographer working alongside me. So all I had to worry about was getting that headline and body copy written and sent off to the printers asap. It’s a whole different ball game these days. Welcome to the new technology.
When writing for a digital magazine you have to take on board a whole new set of rules. I suppose I let the creative juices get the better of me huh. Lesson learned.
I hope this salutary lesson is something I can in time pass on to other aspiring writers.
Meanwhile please bear with me whilst I re-write a few things and attend to other important matters that Danny so kindly pointed out.
